Candidates for council
Monday 6th September 2010

Amblecote: Peter Lee
Peter is a local businessman.
"I have chosen UKIP for its common sense policies &
decency".

Cradley & Foxcote: Barry Rose
"No to EU Rule. Yes to Free Trade, Friendship and Freedom!"

Lye & Wollescote: Glen Wilson
Glen served as a fireman with the RAF in Oman, Gibraltar and Cyprus and has been a lorry driver, salesman & manager. Since retirement, he has helped out various local youth and football groups.
Keep the cemetery Ship Shape!
"The cemetery is a disgrace and in a mess. It needs to be
restored and kept as a peaceful & respectful place." Glen
wants Keepers to tidy-up every day. He will set up Friends of Lye
and Wollescote Cemetery to keep a list of things that need doing
at the cemetery which will be reported back to the Council. "I
shall work with the West Midlands Historic Buildings Trust to
bring the chapel back into use."
Reclaim the High Street - More Bobbies on the
Beat.
The UK Independence Party wants more bobbies on the beat. "Lye
high street has become a magnet for people to meet in. Sitting in
groups drinking cheap alcohol they make whatever kind of shopping
experience that is left in the Lye unbearable," says Glen. He
will work with the police authority and he will continue with his
youth clubs and sports work.

Pedmore & Stourbridge East: Lynette Wragg
Keep drinking off the Street - Support your Local Pubs
Lyn wants to save our pubs. Five pubs close every day.
For every pint a pub sells, nearly half the price is lost in
taxes.
The costs of regulation are too high.
"It's a terrible loss. Good local landlords can keep order, take away car keys and keep drinking off the streets. Bring back the old smoke room, lift unfair taxes and let's get the community spirit back again!"

Quarry Bank and Dudley Wood: Helen Wimlett
"The main parties aren't helping young people like me.
Only UKIP thinks of the future".

Wollaston & Stourbridge Town: Simon Davis
"I got involved with UKIP while helping my father. We need more facilities for our youth in Dudley."
